AHA HeartCode® & Blended Learning Skills Check-Offs
Blended learning options are a convenient way to complete your required training. As an AHA authorized program, we are able to complete skills check-off sessions in order to grant full certification to students. Please review the information below to get started.
Hybrid Learning Options
The American Heart Association offers blended learning options for its most popular courses. In blending learning, students complete a self-paced, online module which replace typical instructor led classroom training. Upon completing the online module, students must complete a skills check-off with an instructor to be granted full certification. Check below for the course you are interested in.
- Six 8 Meducation will ONLY complete check-offs for official AHA blended learning options. Select your course below to verify the appropriate online module.
Basic Life Support (BLS) - $65
HeartCode® BLS Online is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Basic Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance. The program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Basic Life Support training for their clinical duties. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, Cognitive Assessment Activities, illustrations, knowledge checks and interactive activities, this program teaches BLS knowledge and skills. Students who successfully complete the cognitive portion and the hands-on session (skills) will receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - $90
HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s ACLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace.
Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode ACLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA ACLS Instructor. Upon completion, students will receive an AHA eCard valid for two (2) years.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - $100
HeartCode® PALS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s PALS Course. Heartsaver® Total - First Aid/CPR/AED - $75
The American Heart Association Heartsaver® Total – First Aid CPR AED Online course provides high-quality training in first aid, CPR, and AED use. This course equips individuals and workplaces with the confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies until emergency responders arrive. The online course format is a convenient way to learn at your own pace and schedule.
The Heartsaver® Total – First Aid CPR AED course is designed for individuals with little or no medical background who need first aid, AED and CPR training to meet work or other regulatory requirements like OSHA. It is also ideal for anyone who wants to be prepared to respond effectively to emergencies at work, home, or in the community.

Scheduling Your Session
The best part of blended learning is the flexibility. Our team will work with you to schedule a time that is both fast and convenient for all. A couple of key things regarding scheduling your session.
- Skills sessions will be conducted at our classroom located in Pineville, LA.
- If you have a group or need training off-site, please reach out before signing up.
- Six 8 Meducation will work with you to schedule and complete your skills check-off within 2 weeks of signing up and payment.
- If, for any reason, there are possible delays, this will be communicated upon signing up.
- Scheduling is dependent upon both student and instructor availability.
- We will not schedule any sessions until registration and payment is complete.
