The AHA BLS HeartCode Skills Check-Off is the hands-on portion required to complete the online AHA BLS HeartCode course. During this session, participants demonstrate CPR, AED use, ventilation, and team response skills with an instructor. Successful completion provides a 2-year AHA BLS Provider certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - InitialThe American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course teaches healthcare providers to recognize and manage cardiac arrest, stroke, and other cardiovascular emergencies. Participants practice advanced interventions, team communication, and decision-making in simulated critical scenarios. Successful completion earns a 2-year AHA ACLS Provider certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - RenewalThe American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Renewal course is designed for current ACLS Providers who need to update and refresh their skills. This fast-paced course reviews recognition and treatment of cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes with an emphasis on team dynamics and critical decision-making. Successful completion earns a 2-year AHA ACLS Provider certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Skills Check-OffThe AHA ACLS HeartCode Skills Check-Off is the hands-on evaluation required after completing the online ACLS course. Participants demonstrate proficiency in CPR, airway management, rhythm recognition, defibrillation, and team leadership during a simulated megacode. Successful completion provides a 2-year AHA ACLS Provider certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - InitialThe American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course prepares healthcare providers to recognize and manage critically ill or injured infants and children. Heartsaver CPR/AED/First AidThe AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid course teaches lay rescuers and non-healthcare personnel how to respond to cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness. Participants learn high-quality CPR, AED use, relief of choking, and basic first aid skills for bleeding, burns, fractures, and other common emergencies. Successful completion provides an AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid course completion card, valid for 2 years.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AEDThe AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course teaches caregivers, teachers, and childcare providers how to respond to emergencies in infants and children. Participants learn pediatric CPR, AED use, relief of choking, and first aid for injuries and sudden illness. Successful completion provides an AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course completion card, valid for 2 years.
Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)The NAEMT Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course teaches evidence-based techniques for the assessment and management of trauma patients in the prehospital setting. The course emphasizes rapid assessment, life-saving interventions, and critical thinking to improve survival in both civilian and tactical environments. Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)The NAEMT Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course teaches evidence-based, life-saving techniques for managing trauma in high-threat civilian environments. Tactical Emergency Casualty Care - Law Enforcement Officers (TECC-LEO)The NAEMT TECC-LEO course provides law enforcement officers and other non-medical responders with lifesaving skills for managing trauma in high-threat situations. The course focuses on hemorrhage control, airway management, rapid assessment, and casualty care while maintaining officer and patient safety. Successful completion provides a NAEMT TECC-LEO certification, valid for 4 years.
Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course prepares individuals to provide basic emergency care and immediate lifesaving interventions in prehospital settings. Participants learn patient assessment, CPR, bleeding control, airway management, and emergency response procedures. Successful completion equips students to assist EMS personnel and respond confidently to medical emergencies. Students are eligible for an EMR license through the Louisiana Bureau of EMS upon completion.
