Important Note:  This course is only available to students who have a current AHA PALS Provider card. If your certification has lapsed, you are required to complete an initial course.


The American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in better outcomes. It emphasizes the importance of high-quality CPR, advanced pediatric assessment, recognition of respiratory and shock states, and effective team dynamics in pediatric emergencies.

Course Content Includes:

  • High-quality CPR for infants and children
  • Recognition and management of respiratory emergencies
  • Recognition and treatment of shock and cardiac arrest in pediatric patients
  • Systematic pediatric assessment and early intervention
  • Airway management (basic and advanced techniques)
  • Vascular access, fluid administration, and pharmacology for pediatric emergencies
  • Effective resuscitation team communication and dynamics

Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an AHA PALS Provider eCard, valid for 2 years.

Who Should Take This Course:
Doctors, nurses, paramedics, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced pediatric life support in emergency, critical care, and hospital settings.
